Pindari Glacier

This world famous glacier is a trekker’s paradise, as it is easier to visit than most other glaciers. This glacier is situated between the snow capped Nanda Devi and Nanda Kot mountains. The river Pindar originates from this glacier. The glacier is at an altitude of 3353 meters. The entire trekking route is filled to the brim with natural beauty.

Kafni Glacier

It is situated at an altitude of 3853 meters. Many breathtaking views of the mighty Himalayan ranges are visible during the trek.
The Kafni Glacier is located in the upper reaches of the Kumaon Himalayas, to the south east of Nanda Devi. The glacier gives rise to the Kafni River, which is a tributary of the Pindar River.

Sundardhunga Glacier

Located at an altitude 3880 meters the place is full of natural beauty, with picturesque view of many Himalayan ranges. The entire trek route is a treat for the eyes with beautiful locales strewn all over.
Sunderdhunga literally suggests the valley of beautiful stones. The eminent glaciers of this valley are Maiktoli and Sukhram. Sunderdhunga valley is on the right side of Pindar valley. Trek to Sunderdhunga valley is tough with comparison to Pindari and Kafni Glacier trek. The trek to Sunderdhunga is of 54kms from Base Camp – Song.

Baijnath Temple

Baijnath is just 16 Km. from Kausani and 22 Km from Bageshwar, at a height of 1,125 meters are ancient temples not only of Shiva, Ganesh and Parvati, but also of Chandika, kuber, Surya, Brahma and Mahisa Sur Mardini which portrays the slaying of the bull-headed deon by goddess, Kali, Situated on the Gomti’s green banks, in the lush calm Garur valley is the main temple of Baijnath dating back to the 13th century A.D. Rich in history and art and at a short distance of 3kms is Kote-ki-Mai temple, with a life sieze, superbly sculpted statue of Vishnu presiding over the beautiful old temple, artistically pleasing to both the soul and eye.

A temple and the village of the same name is 5 km trek from Kausani. It is built on a spur from the Gopalkot peak (2750m) overlooking the upper portion of the Kosi Valley. The temple is situated about half way up the hill above the village. The first is a small conical structure, 2.5 to 3 meters high, dedicated to Bhairon.
